Ontario County Public Health: 20 new COVID-19 cases Monday

HOPEWELL — Ontario County Public Health is reporting 20 new COVID-19 cases but no new deaths as of Feb. 8.

All of the new cases Monday are community acquired and bring the number of Ontario County residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic to 5,374.

There have been 99 COVID-19 deaths since last March.

There are 322 COVID-19 positive individuals who are being isolated. This is in addition to 351 mandatory quarantines (contacts of positive cases), totaling 673 in the isolation and quarantine category.

There are 27 people in the hospital.

With 33 recoveries reported in the last 24 hours, 4,955 recoveries have been reported since the start of the pandemic.
