Nearly 150 bartenders, hospitality workers receive help from NJLBA

NJBIZ - 7/6/2020

More than 140 bartenders and hospitality workers out of work due to the COVID-19 outbreak received $159,000 in grants through the New Jersey Licensed Beverage Association.
Displaced workers received an average of $1,100 in grants, which were funded by donations from the suppliers of Fedway Associates, Tito's Handmade Vodka, and Jim Beam Brands Co., and awarded through the association's William G. Wellhofer Scholarship Foundation.
"Although we had a significant number of initial applicants, we were able to ensure that all qualified individuals who applied received assistance, said NJLBA President James Filler in a prepared statement.
NJLBA Executive Director Diane Weiss noted, "It is our heartfelt hope that these grants provide some form of relief to our dedicated workers."
