Walmart employee in Lancaster County tests positive for COVID-19: report

An employee at an East Lampeter Township Walmart store has tested positive for COVID-19, WGAL reported Thursday.

A store manager told the station that the Supercenter at 2034 Lincoln Highway East is following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for cleaning.

Walmart previously announced measures all stores would be taking in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, including social distancing and screening employees. Earlier this week, the company announced it would limit how many customers are allowed in stores at a time.

A Walmart spokesperson said the company is unable to confirm cases of COVID-19 at their stores, and confirmations should come from local health officials.
