The Chronicle - 8/17/2017

Aug. 17--Lewis County'sPublic Health and Social Services Department has hired a deputy director who will serve under Director Danette York.

JP Anderson, formerly the county's Drug Court manager, will begin in his new role on Aug. 21.

The position, according to York, was created after two management positions were combined into one.

Prior to working with the Drug Court, Anderson was a mental health professional at Cascade and performed most of his work in the Lewis County Jail.

"He has a very, very good background in social services," York said.

According to York, she will focus more on the public health side of operations while Anderson deals with social services.

Anderson will attend an orientation for public health professionals a day after he begins in his new position. The training is on Aug. 22.
