Trader Joe's sushi, salads, spring rolls recalled due to possible listeria

Providence Journal - 12/3/2019

The Rhode Island Department of Health is advising consumers of a voluntary recall of ready-to-eat sushi, salads and spring rolls due to potential listeria contamination.

The products were distributed in several states, including Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and were sold under brand names Trader Joe's and Okami. In addition to Trader Joe's, the products from Fuji Food Products Inc., were sold at 7 Eleven and Hannaford stores.

No illnesses have been attributed to the products being recalled. The recall follows a problem discovered in a U.S. Food and Drug Administration inspection of a Fuji facility in Brockton, Massachusetts.

Consumers who have purchased any of these products should dispose of them, the Health Department says.
